" Time for a change "

There comes a time in life when you have to embrace change and my time is now.

I have recently moved house which involved a serious down size.. ooh !! so hard to decide what stuff you don't absolutely need I think it would be easier to decide which child should go or which limb to cut off ..Ha Ha !!

My daughter has helped me to create a new look blog where I will eventually have pics of all my bears past and present.. Love it !!

And finally I have ventured into the world of Facebook..That's Scary !!

I think that's enough change for this Old Fart for the moment I feel like my brain is about to explode.

Happily Married

I was having a much needed clean up on my cameras memory and look who I found.

Margaret and Byrne the bride and groom trolls I was commissioned to make earlier this year. They were named after the lovely Margaret Byrne from the UK  http://www.dream-veils.co.uk/index.html who makes the most wonderful bespoke veils and kindly sends me Goodie bags full of silk samples and tulle off cuts.

Margaret's dress is made from one of the  4" sq samples of embroidered dupion silk and her veil is made from silk tulle off cuts. One man's trash is definitely another man's treasure.

Margaret ( 3 1/2") and Byrne (4 1/2")

Hope you like them I think they make a handsome couple.

New Shoes!!

We took my 2 year old Grand daughter shopping for new winter shoes the other day. She is quite the trendy one for her age just loves shopping for new clothes and shoes and knows exactly what she wants.

She had it all planned out she was getting a pair of booloo (blue ) shoes with flowers nere ( pointing to the middle of the top of her foot ) and SPARKLES. Not a tall order to fill at all !!

Once we entered the shop she was in heaven and quickly set about picking shoes to try ( not one blue pair amongst them ). After trying MANY pairs of beautiful shoes we finally settled on a lovely mushroom pink pair of Ciao court shoes with Diamanté studs on the strap (not a flower in sight). She was just a little disappointed the purple sparkle shoes didn't fit.

After paying for them her mother gave her the bag with her new shoes in to hold while we packed up. Taking our eyes off her for only a few seconds we turned around to find her in seventh heaven at the sale table filling her bag with as many pretty shoes as she could (how embarrasment).

Thankfully the shop assistant thought it was cute and rather funny which I suppose it was but it didn't seem so at the time.

All I can say is watch out Emelda because Hayley is on the way.
